The Yadkin River coach and baggage car, complete with bike racks, is now in service on Trains 73 & 74 between Raleigh and Charlotte.

• ticket windows at Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro or Charlotte

General Information for Bike Boarding at all Stations

• As a cyclist, you must make advanced Piedmont ticket reservation and reserve your bike rack space at the same time.
• A $5.00 bike handling fee is charged; exact change is necessary.
• All bikes must have a completed baggage tag on handlebars with passenger'sname, address and phone.
• Loaded saddlebags must be removed from bike and handled as carry on luggage or checked baggage.

Bike Boarding at Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, Charlotte

• As a cyclist, you must check in with the ticket baggage agent at least 20 minutes prior to departure time.
• A $5.00 bike handling fee is paid to the ticket or baggage agent; exact change is necessary.
• Keep your bike with you until boarding time
• When the train arrives, hand the bike up to the crewmember who secures it in the bike rack and then board the train
• When you get to your destination, reclaim your bike at the combine car baggage door.

Bike Boarding at Burlington, High Point, Salisbury & Kannapolis

• As a cyclist, you must inform the station attendant at least 20 minutes before departure time you will board with your bike.
• Keep your bike with you until boarding time
• When the train arrives, hand the bike up to the crewmember who secures it in the bike rack.
• Board the train and pay the $5.00 bike handling fee to the crewmember when your boarding ticket is collected at your seat.
• When you get to your destination, reclaim your bike at the combine car baggage door.

Bike Boarding at Cary

• Cary is an unstaffed train station.
• As a cyclist, you must be on the platform with your bike when the train arrives.
• Inform crewmember you want to load your bike.
• Meet the crew member at the baggage door and hand the bike up to them and they will secure it in the bike rack.
• Board the train and pay the $5.00 bike handling fee to the crewmember when your boarding ticket is collected at your seat.
• When you get to your destination, reclaim your bike at the combine car baggage door.
