Durham Station

New Durham Station now open!
The new Durham station located in the Walker Warehouse Building at 601 West Main Street opened July 8, 2009.

New Durham Station: The new Durham station is located at 601 W. Main Street in the historic Walker Warehouse, adjacent to several other historic Liggett & Myers buildings, which are being refurbished for residential, entertainment and office. Convenience, pedestrian traffic flow and safety as well as the city’s revitalization program make this an ideal location for the station. The total construction cost was $2.4 miillion, with $1.25 million from the Federal Highway Administration, and the balance from state funds.

Durham's new Transit Center located across the street from the interim station is now open.
