Building Description: The station is located at 235 NW Broad Street in the heart of downtown Southern Pines.

Project Status: NCDOT Rail Division has refurbished the structure to its 1948 appearance and color scheme. Plans were completed by Clearscapes in March 2004. Construction began in June 2004 and was completed December 2004. Modern, ADA compliant waiting room, restrooms, platform and canopy have been incorporated into the renovated station. A portion of the space is being used for retail civic uses.
