Passengers age 18 or older must have valid, photo identification to purchase tickets and check baggage.
Checked Baggage Guidelines:
Passengers may check (ship) three (3) pieces of baggage, in the baggage car, free of charge per ticketed passenger. Passengers may check (ship) three (3) additional pieces of baggage per passenger at a cost of $10 each. Bags may not weigh more than 50 lbs. each and may not exceed a size of 28 x 22 x 14 inches.
Carry-on Baggage Guidelines:
In addition to checked baggage, passengers may carry two (2) pieces of luggage on board trains, not including purses, laptops, strollers, etc. Bags may not weigh more than 50 lbs. each and may not exceed a size of 28 x 22 x 14 inches. Passengers must be able to safely carry their own baggage.
Baggage ID Tags:
All carry-on and all checked baggage must have tags with the passenger's name, address and phone number.
BIkes on Board Available at this Station
Bike rack spaces are available on Trains 73, 74, 75, 76. Reservations required. No handing fee.
Transit: Charlotte Transit: Route 11 takes passengers from the Amtrak Station to Discovery Place, Panthers stadium and Uptown. The bus stops across the street from the Amtrak station every 15-30 minutes. Fare is $1.50 per person each way (receipts not provided).
Transit for Groups:
Groups of 15-30 should call ahead to Charlotte Transit, 704-336-RIDE (7433). Groups of 30 or more (to destinations not on Charlotte Transit Routes) should contact a charter bus companies or visit Charlotte Convention & Visitors Bureau website for more transportation options.
