More than 100 volunteers from across the state serve as North Carolina's goodwill ambassadors on board the Piedmont and Carolinian. Train hosts volunteer their time to ride the trains to assist passengers, promote passenger services and answer questions about the route, ground transportation and area attractions.

Train hosts must complete a one-day training session and commit to making at least one host trip every 60 days. For more information about becoming a host, contact:

Station Host Program
Amtrak has given its approval to proceed with the Station Host Program. The mission of the Station Host Program is to assist passengers with travel questions and information during time spent at the train station. More information about the Station Host Program will be forthcoming.
