Emergency numbers may be found on the railroad signal masts below the railroad lights on signs like the ones shown here. Call the emergency numbers any time you see a dangerous crossing situation such as malfunctioning signals and/or gates, vehicles stalled on the tracks or in the event of damage to the railroad tracks or warning equipment.

NEVER assume the railroad or local police have been notified. If possible, provide the railroad milepost and DOT crossing number listed on the sign, when speaking to the operator.
