Public Involvement Milestones
The NCDOT has held numerous meetings with Charlotte/Mecklenburg officials, community leaders, and affected neighborhood residents to discuss the proposed rail crossing enhancements. The purpose of these meetings has been to explain the Traffic Separation Study process, address concerns, and to develop a project that is a win-win for the community, City of Charlotte, NCDOT and railroads.
